Simplified Store Locator

  • Find Your Store

Making it easy for users to find a nearby store or a location in a specific area is essential. The process must be simple, informative, and help users quickly return to their shopping journey—whether online or in-store. Based on research showing that users primarily use mobile devices for store searches, we adopted a mobile-first approach.

  • Store Results

When displaying store results, I aimed for simplicity while allowing users to access additional information if desired. By default, store names and addresses are visible, with phone numbers and hours accessible via an expanded view. For desktop users, I included a map view for a side-by-side display, while omitting it from mobile, as users typically rely on dedicated map apps on their devices.

  • Desktop Results with Map

In desktop view, I made both the map and list view interactive, allowing users to seamlessly explore store locations. This design enables users to view store details directly on the map, eliminating the need to switch between the map and the list of results. By keeping everything in sync, users can quickly find the information they need without disrupting their experience.

  • Store Details

I wanted to find a way for users to get the information they needed on a store details page with out flooding it with unnecissary items. Based on research, I found that store information, store services and other nearby stores were the main things users were looking for so I intended to have those be focal points at the top of the page without needing to scroll. If the user wanted, they could scroll down and see items that are specific to that store.
